Step into a world of refined travel as you explore the enchanting capitals of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia in comfort and style. This carefully curated journey blends cultural discovery with local experiences, featuring private guided tours, handpicked luxury hotels, and seamless travel in a private car with a dedicated driver between the capitals.

Embark on a captivating 10-day journey through the heart of the Baltic States, exploring the rich histories, vibrant cultures, and architectural marvels of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.  From the charming streets of Vilnius and Riga to the medieval beauty of Tallinn, each city brings its own unique story and character.

While we know there’s so much more to discover in the Baltics, this tour is designed for those who are time poor but still want to get a real feel for these three incredible countries. That’s why we’ve focused on the capitals - each offering a unique snapshot of the nation’s culture, history, and charm

However, if you have more time or want a deeper dive into the local life, we can easily customise a longer tour that explores not only the capitals but also the charming regions of all three countries, or focus on one or two based on your specific interests.

This 10-day tour can also be tailored to match your personal passions. Whether you’re keen on exploring art, craft, food, or outdoor activities, we can design your itinerary to reflect your preferences. Of course, the best experiences may vary depending on the time of year you choose to travel. With private guided tours, leisure time to explore at your own pace, and a range of optional activities, you’ll experience the Baltic capitals in a way that’s meaningful to you.

For those seeking a similar experience at a more accessible price point, we also offer an alternative version of this tour featuring carefully selected 4-star accommodations and comfortable travel by public bus between the capitals.  Both tours can be done also in reverse starting from Tallinn in Estonia.

December is a truly magical time to experience the Charming Baltic Capitals in Style. The festive season brings twinkling lights, cosy cafés, and beautifully decorated Old Town squares, where charming Christmas markets offer traditional crafts, seasonal treats, and a warm, intimate atmosphere. Unlike the bustling markets of Central Europe, the Baltic Christmas markets allow you to soak in the festive spirit at a relaxed pace, with fewer crowds and plenty of space to explore. From Vilnius’ baroque streets to Riga’s medieval heart and Tallinn’s storybook Old Town, each city transforms into a festive wonderland - perfect for those seeking an authentic and peaceful holiday experience. Our Festive Baltic Capitals in Style will take you there.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Vilnius – Welcome to the Baltics

Your journey begins in Vilnius, a city of cobbled streets, hidden courtyards and baroque church towers. A private driver greets you at the airport and escorts you to your hand-selected 5-star hotel in the heart of the Old Town. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a relaxed first evening - wander past lantern-lit alleys, soak in the quiet elegance of Cathedral Square or enjoy contemporary Baltic cuisine in one of Vilnius’ acclaimed restaurants.

Day 2: Vilnius Old Town – Baroque beauty and creative spirit

Meet your private local guide for a tailored walking tour of Vilnius, a UNESCO World Heritage city with a compelling mix of cultures, faiths and ideas. Visit Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower and the Gothic masterpiece of St Anne’s Church. Stroll along Pilies Street and through the bohemian district of Užupis, a self-declared artistic republic full of character and charm. The afternoon is free - choose from exclusive add-ons such as a Lithuanian amber masterclass, a wine tasting in a historic cellar, or a spa ritual inspired by Baltic nature.

Day 3: Trakai – Medieval lakeside heritage

Today you journey to Trakai, Lithuania’s former medieval capital. Surrounded by lakes and forests, the iconic red-brick castle sits proudly on its own island, accessible via a wooden bridge. With your private guide, uncover stories of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and meet traces of the Karaim people, a small Turkic community who settled here in the 14th century. Return to Vilnius in the afternoon for a relaxed evening.

Day 4: Vilnius to Riga – Hill of Crosses & Rundāle Palace

Travel in comfort across the Lithuanian countryside to Latvia, enjoying private chauffeured transport. Along the way, stop at the Hill of Crosses, a moving pilgrimage site and a powerful symbol of quiet resilience. Continue to Rundāle Palace, the “Versailles of the Baltics,” designed by the famed architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli. With an expert guide, explore its grand halls, French gardens and history of ducal elegance. Arrive in Riga in the late afternoon to settle into your luxury hotel.

Day 5: Riga – Hanseatic commerce and modern rhythm

Today’s private walking tour reveals Riga’s rich character - from its medieval Guildhalls and merchant heritage to lively central squares filled with café culture. Visit the House of the Black Heads, St Peter’s Church, and quiet medieval lanes that whisper stories of the Hanseatic League. Explore at your own pace in the afternoon—perhaps visit the monumental Central Market, browse Baltic design boutiques, or enjoy dinner in one of Riga’s award-winning restaurants.

Day 6: Art Nouveau elegance & cultural insight

Riga is home to one of the largest collections of Art Nouveau architecture in Europe, and today you’ll explore this grand quarter with your private guide. Wander past façades rich with sculptural detail, mythological figures and elegant balconies along Alberta and Elizabetes streets. Step inside the Art Nouveau Museum to see how upper-class families lived at the turn of the 20th century. The rest of your day is free - ask us to arrange a canal cruise, chocolate tasting, or a Latvian sauna ritual.

Day 7: Riga to Tallinn – Through Latvia’s countryside to Estonia

Travel north to Estonia with a private transfer through Gauja National Park, known as the “Switzerland of Latvia.” Visit Sigulda, a charming town surrounded by forests and valley views, before stepping inside Turaida Castle, a medieval stronghold with sweeping views of the Gauja River. Continue to Tallinn, where pastel façades and medieval towers greet you on arrival. Settle into your elegant hotel in the Old Town.

Day 8: Tallinn – Medieval charm & seaside air

This morning, enjoy a private walking tour of Tallinn’s UNESCO-listed Old Town, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. Walk from Toompea Castle and the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral to the narrow merchant streets below. Stand atop the ancient city walls and look across red rooftops to the Baltic Sea. In the afternoon, enjoy free time - explore Telliskivi Creative City, visit the Seaplane Harbour Museum, or pause for coffee and cardamom buns in a cosy café.

Day 9: Tallinn – A day to indulge

Enjoy the day at leisure with experiences tailored to your interests. Perhaps take part in a private design tour, meeting local creators in Tallinn’s studio spaces and exploring Estonia’s clean, modern Nordic design culture. Or, for something playful, step inside a local distillery for a gin-blending experience, using Baltic botanicals like juniper, heather and sea buckthorn to craft your own personalised spirit. For relaxation, we can also arrange time at a boutique day spa, or a reservation at one of Tallinn’s acclaimed fine dining restaurants

Day 10: Departure – Until next time

Your journey concludes with a private transfer to Tallinn Airport. If you wish to continue exploring, it’s easy to extend your travels - Helsinki is just a 2-hour ferry ride away, and Sweden is within reach by overnight cruise. We’ll be delighted to assist with any personalised extensions.
