This tour is operated by a small family business that has been taking people on nature tours since 1982, and  is now run by the second generation of nature lovers. This is an unforgettable ski trek through pristine Arctic tundra and forests in the beautiful Pallas-Yllästunturi National park in Western Lapland.

Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park is Finland's third largest national park and covers an area of 1,020 square kilometres. The landscape of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park is dominated by a chain of fells stretching for approximately 100 km. These are the remnants of an ancient folded mountain range and today's rounded fells are the worn-down bases of those mountains. The highest point in the national park is Taivaskero in the Pallastunturi Fells, which is 809 metres above sea level. The nature in Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park is diverse and varied with mires, heath forests, old-growth forests in their natural state and open fells. There are over 500 kilometres of ski trails in the national park.

Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park is Finland's most popular national park. The landscape of Pallastunturi Fells has been chosen as one of Finland's national landscapesThe information centre in Pallas gives you an excellent insight into the Lappish traditions and nature.

As there is no light pollution here, you can admire the starry sky with the Milky Way at night, and might even witness the Northern Lights dancing across the sky, if you are lucky.
