These eco villas are located in Puumala by Lake Saimaa. Designed with couples in mind,  villas are elegantly appointed with a colour scheme that complements the surrounding nature. Built with sustainable materials and energy-efficient solutions, each villa reflects a commitment to eco-friendly approach. Scandinavian style interior is adorned with Finnish materials, including high-quality wool fabrics and artisan tableware, while local sauna products enhance the luxurious feel. Soft bathrobes and slippers are thoughtfully provided.

Each villa offers breathtaking views of Lake Saimaa, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty while you relax in the villa, drop pool, or sauna. The lounge area features a plush double bed and a comfortable seating arrangement, perfect for unwinding. Step out onto the expansive deck to discover a cosy seating area and a luxurious drop-pool (heated to 38 Degrees Celsius), ideal for stargazing.

The villas are accessed via charming wooden walkways, arranged to ensure your privacy. A lakeside jetty  makes it possible to enjoy refreshing dips in the clean waters of Lake Saimaa. During your stay, you’re free to use bikes and rowing boats to explore and enjoy the nearby Sahanlahti restaurant services, just a short distance away. The Sahanlahti resort area also offers variety of other accommodation options and is a popular spot for holiday makers and boaters.

The owners of the resort are dedicated to showcasing the region's rich history and traditions through their cuisine. For them, the story behind each dish is an integral part of the overall experience. Savour breakfast at Restaurant Koskivahti (or have it delivered to your villa), renowned for its stunning lake views - arguably the most beautiful in Finland. During the summer, Restaurant Koskivahti offers a delightful brunch or lunch, transitioning to a sophisticated à la carte dining in the evening. Meanwhile, the more rustic Restaurant Rantamakasiini provides a charming harbour-side atmosphere where you can unwind with refreshing drinks, barbecue specialties, and delectable pizzas. And if you'd like to relax with a gin in your hand, the Gin Bar is the ideal spot to enjoy a drink while watching boats glide by.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1:  Arrival

Arrive at the picturesque Sahanlahti Resort and check in to your eco villa nestled by the serene lake. Your accommodation offers a perfect blend of modern comfort and natural beauty, providing a tranquil retreat to start your holiday.

In the evening, enjoy a delightful dinner at the resort’s restaurant, renowned for its local cuisine. The menu features dishes prepared with the freshest local produce, allowing you to savour the authentic flavours of the region.

Day 2: Exploration & Relaxation

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the resort restaurant. Enjoy a selection of fresh, locally sourced options to fuel your day of exploration.

Embark on an exciting e-bike ride through the surrounding country roads and charming villages. Discover the scenic landscapes and local culture at your own pace. Consider stopping for lunch in the quaint town of Puumala, known for its picturesque setting and welcoming atmosphere.

Return to the resort for another exquisite dinner at the restaurant. Relax and unwind while enjoying a meal made with the best local ingredients.

Day 3: Relax & Cruise

Spend the day at your leisure. You may choose to relax in your eco villa or take your e-bike out for more exploration of the stunning countryside.

Later on experience a unique and pleasurable lake cruise aboard an electric-powered Ecoboat. This comfortable, weather-proof boat is perfect for enjoying the beautiful Finnish lakes. Your private captain, Skipper Arto, will not only navigate the tranquil waters but also entertain you with accordion music and captivating stories. Keep an eye out for the elusive Saimaa seal, a rare and enchanting sight.

After your memorable cruise, head back to the resort for a final dinner at the restaurant. Relish a meal of locally inspired dishes and reflect on the day’s experiences.

 

Day 4: Breakfast & Check-out

Enjoy a final breakfast at the resort before checking out. Take one last moment to soak in the serene surroundings before departing for your onward journey.

If the organisers do not deem one of the activities safe, they reserve the right to change the order of the activities or the content of the program if necessary due to the weather. In extreme conditions they might have to reschedule or cancel.

Sometimes the organiser has to make changes, usually because of circumstances out of their control. If this happens, they reserve the right at any time to substitute accommodation or activities. If this means extra cost to you, we’ll let you know.

Typically in June the sun rises at 3am and sets around 11pm. Towards the end of July sun rises around 4am and sets around 10pm. At the end of August sunrise is around 6am and sunset around 8pm. In September days are getting shorter with sunrise between 6-7am and sunset between 8pm-6.30pm.

  • 20% deposit  is required within 7 days after your holiday is confirmed

  • Balance due 65 days prior to travel

    • More than 66 days prior to departure - loss of deposit

    • From 65 to 31 days prior to departure – loss of 50% of total cost

    • Less than 30 days prior to departure - loss of 100% of total cost
